Transparent Awarded Full Physical Custody

The following announcement was sent to TransParentcy by Riki Ann Maginley-Covington regarding her successful court hearing regarding custody.

Dear Paula and TransParentcy:

On this day, August 26, 2002, in the Court of Common Pleas, Susquehanna County, State of Pennsylvania, a transsexual M2F (moi) was giving full physical and legal custody of her 14 y.o. son.

What do ya think of that one?

I'm alot whooped...but had to tell you girls (and guys) the news.

The judge said that he saw no reason whatsoever why the temporary custody should not be lifted and full physical and legal custody granted. His mother, silent, was asked if she had anything to add or say before the order was given and she glared at me in front of the judge and replied, "no."

Her attorney then requested a reevaluation hearing and it was granted for December 4th, 2002.

The judge asked my son if he had anything to say and he said, " I love my Dad....doesn't matter to me if she wanted to even be president."

The judge said let the order be granted as stated.

I thanked him for allowing me the room to act as my own attorney and he said, "You did fine..and you look really good." I said, "thanks"...I know I blushed....and home we went.

Thanks for the prayers on this issue....see they really do work...but only if you're doing it for someone else and not for yourself.

Again, thank you, and God Bless each of you.

Your Sister,
Riki Ann Maginley-Covington

In a follow-up letter, Riki sends her inspiration to others:

"In the name of all that is right and true.......this girl doesn't give up a fight. To every M2F and F2M mother or father (which my kids and step kids call me Mada [ma ma and da da put together]).....this one is for you.......don't let them take what you hold dearest to your hearts....your children and their love for you....if they do....make sure you go down fighting over and over and over again." -- Riki Ann
